First Kernow have introduced their summer services from Sunday 24th May which are all included below. Its just as well I have had a bank holiday to get all of these updated in time! There are also a few service updates for Stagecoach, Travel Cornwall, Plymouth Citybus and Newquay Travel A2B along with the usual St Ives Park & Ride services which seem to change every other week…
1/1A/1B/1C (Lands End - Penzance) Will operate as per the Summer 2014 timetable with minor amendments.
Some changes to the 'short' journeys between Helston and Penzance.
Revised frequencies for Summer 2015:-
Monday to Saturday: Daytime: every twenty minutes Evening: every hour Sunday and Public Holidays: Daytime: every thirty minutes Evening: every hour

14/18 (Penzance/St Ives - Truro) Minor timetable alterations on Monday to Saturday timetable to improve punctuality and reliability. Service 14 will operate every hour on Sundays and Public Holidays during the daytime between St Ives and Truro, providing a bus every thirty minutes between Hayle and Truro via Camborne and Redruth

Existing service 17 journeys on Monday to Saturday evenings will be re-numbered 17A and will serve St Ives Holiday Village (both directions) Service 17B will operate between Penzance and St Ives via Marazion and St Ives Holiday Park up to every hour from Monday to Saturday and on Sunday and Public Holidays (including evenings) (Note: Service 17B will not serve Penzance Town Centre in summer 2015 and will also not divert via Goldsithney on Sunday and Public Holidays evenings 
There is one change to the timetable - an additional Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays) journey from Quintrell Downs Spar departing at 0731hrs to Newquay Manor Road Bus Station, arriving at 0751hrs
522 (St Austell - Truro) Service to be re-numbered as service 22. There are some minor changes to the timetable.
527 (Newquay - St Austell) Service to be re-numbered as service 23. There are no changes to the actual timetable or route.
525 (Polmear - St Austell) Service to be re-numbered as service 25. There are no changes to the actual timetable or route.
27 (Bodmin - Truro via St Austell) All service 27 buses will now serve Boscoppa. There will also be revised running times between Bodmin Morrisons and St Austell Bus Station. There is no change to the timings of journeys between St Austell Bus Station and Truro Bus Station in both directions except that the existing 1645hrs ex St Austell Bus Station journey on Monday to Saturday departs at 1650hrs and operates five minutes later throughout.
30 (St Austell Local Service) A revised timetable will operate.
There is one minor change to the existing timetable: the 1530hrs from Helston opposite Seven Stars service 35A journey on Saturday operates five minutes later between Constantine Spar (depart 1604hrs) and Falmouth The Moor (arrive 1630hrs)
The two additional return journeys between Helston and Redruth on Saturday operated during summer 2014 will be reinstated for summer 2015
Revised timetable to improve reliability due to increased traffic during the summer season. The route is also slightly altered as 39A journeys will not serve Marazion. There is no change to the timings of journeys between Camborne Bus Station and Goldsithney St Aubyns/Perranuthnoe St Pirans Way in both directions. However due to the service not serving Marazion the revised route description is as follows:

Sunday and Public Holidays Hourly during the day time throughout low and high summer.
New service for summer 2015 between Newquay and St Ives via Perranporth, St Agnes, Portreath, Gwithian and Hayle Towans and between Camborne and St Ives via Gwithian and Hayle Towans , which will operate to the following frequencies:-
Daily - High Summer:
Newquay - Gwithian: Two journeys in each direction
Camborne - Gwithian: Seven journeys in each direction
Gwithian - St Ives via Hayle Towans: Every hour
Daily - Low Summer:
Newquay - Gwithian: Two journeys in each direction
Camborne - Gwithian: Three journeys in each direction
Gwithian - St Ives via Hayle Towans: Every two hours
558 (Newquay Local Service) Service to be re-numbered as service 58 .There are no changes to the actual timetable or route.
New service for summer 2015 between Newquay and Quintrell Downs via Treloggan and Hendra Holiday Park, which will operate to the following frequencies:-
Daily (including evenings) - High Summer
Every thirty minutes
Daily - Low Summer
Daytime: every hour
Evenings: every thirty minutes
(Note: Evenings journeys will operate in the northbound direction between Treloggan and Newquay Manor Road Bus Station via Treloggan Road, Treninnick Hill, Trevemper Road, A392 Gannel Road, Higher Tower Road, Crantock Street, St Georges Road and Manor Road)
69 (Falmouth - Truro via Mylor Bridge)
There are only a few minor changes from the existing routings and timetables, as follows:
i) the existing service 69 journeys between Penryn Bohelland Rise and Truro Bus Station on Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays) are renumbered as service 66 journeys
ii) the journeys on service 66 (Penryn " Truro) will operate a slightly alternative route between the A39 and Cosawes Park and so the times of journeys between Perranwell Royal Oak and Penryn Bohelland Rise will be changed (in both directions)
69A/69B (Falmouth Local Services)
No change
Cant see anything on Citybus site but the only change I see is one journey leaves 5 mins later on schooldays.

The Monday to Friday (except Public Holidays) and Saturday timetables are identical to the revised timetables introduced from Sunday 12 April 2015. The Sunday and Public Holiday timetable is revised to facilitate the introduction of an hourly frequency for the summer period, with service 93 operating every hour, during the day time, between Newquay and Truro via St Columb Major and Indian Queens. There is no change to the routing of these services. Please see the timetable for full details (when available).
94 (Newquay - Wadebridge) Revised frequencies for summer 2015:- Monday to Saturday " High Summer Daytime: every hour

The former Park & Ride Scanias are now being repainted with 65762 now in the standard First Group livery. If this is to stay in Cornwall it looks like the much fabled new livery for Cornwall is not going to happen. It sounds like there will be quite an influx of newer low floor buses later in the year and these will all be in standard First livery with KERNOW names.
Phew! Hopefully things will quieten down a bit now….

Thanks to Richard Smith for these great shots of 32716 sporting a nice fresh green livery whilst working for God TV this week. It is nice to see the Western National name back in use even if its prefixed First!
It would be even nicer if this was to be introduced for the rest of the fleet here in Plymouth as it would make more sense than the current mixture of Plymouth Devon & Torpoint names on the national First livery. Note also the God TV stickers!
Previously this was in green for Western National 80th Anniversary back in 2009. It will be interesting to see if this one gains any more lettering.

As you can see there is plenty going on at the moment across Devon. First have made changes for several routes in Plymouth. These are fairly minor tinkering but they do introduce a new 15A and the PR1A is replaced by additional runs on the fairly new 81D. Stagecoach alter their X64 and introduce a ‘new’ route 164 to replace Sundays X64. Filers have a few changes coming up and Countrybus finally start their new services replacing Dartline. Axe Valley make changes to their 889 and 899. Dial a Bus give advance notice for services 60-62 timetable in July.
Service 3 will now serve West Park, Honicknowle, Peverell, Mutley Plain and North Hill on Sundays & public holidays, offering up to a 30 minute frequency. All journeys will now be numbered as service 3 (no more 3As!) There will still be a 10 minute day time frequency of buses between City Centre, Devonport and St Budeaux from Monday to Saturday, with a 20 minute day time frequency for buses between St Budeaux, West Park, Honicknowle, Peverell and City Centre, from Monday to Friday.

I can see problems for some passengers getting used to the fact that not all 3’s do the full route!
Evening Monday to Friday journeys between Derriford and The George are being withdrawn due to very poor use. The last 15 bus from Derriford to The George will now depart at 18:29 (the 86 will still operate in the evenings at 04 mins past the hour from Derriford Hospital from 19:04 to 00:04 on weekdays and Saturdays) We are also launching a new day time service 15A between Woolwell and Glenholt via the George Park & Ride site. There are three off peak circular journeys. The Saturday timetable is unchanged.
Its no surprise that the evening shuttles between The George and Derriford are being withdrawn as Target Travel easily saw them off. The new 15A is a surprise though, another in a long line of experiments to serve this difficult area.
15 Plymouth Centre - Crownhill - Derriford Hospital – Woolwell
Plymouth City Council:
Beach lovers will be able to take a bus straight to Bovisand again this summer. The service 54 ‘beach bus’, which is financially supported by the Council, will be operated by Target Travel and run from Saturday 23 May until Sunday 13 September. It will run at the weekend during school term time and every day during the half term and summer holidays. The service will depart from the A9 stop on Royal Parade every hour from 10am until 6pm (except at 2pm) and return from Bovisand hourly from 10.30am until 6.30pm (except at 1.30pm). Councillor Mark Coker, Cabinet Member for Transport, said: “The Bovisand bus has been really popular and offers families a low-hassle way to enjoy a great day out over the summer, whether they head for the beach or take a walk along the beautiful South West Coast Path.” For more information on the service 54 call 01752 242000.

Interestingly its been registered on the Dealtop licence where most bus services are under R Risk licence.
There will now be more 81D trips between the Torpoint Ferry (Devonport side), Stoke, Milehouse and Derriford Hospital which will run approximately hourly, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
There are also some minor changes to times on the 81 between the Torpoint Ferry and Plymouth Royal Parade after approximately 1430. There are also some morning peak journeys which have been changed to run 10 minutes earlier throughout, one following customer requests.
There are no changes to Saturday timetable. The Sunday & public holiday timetable will be the same as operated in Summer 2014.

As is often the case its been difficult getting the timetables for the X64. Traveline only has the new times from 1st September 2015! The final stagecoach pdf here is sideways which is a real pain but its all I can get at this moment in time.
A NEW light railway to Brixham and fewer traffic lights in the Bay are two of re-elected Torbay mayor Gordon Oliver's ambitions for the next four years. Mr Oliver has instructed officers to investigate the opportunities to re-introduce a passenger railway between Churston and outer Brixham. It would follow the line of the old steam railway which was closed decades ago. Houses have been built over the line at the Brixham end and the station is long gone. But Mr Oliver believes there is an opportunity to use the former line for a light railway with passenger-only traffic and possibly also a cycle route.
