Catching up

Our weekly catch-up was mostly about reviewing changes that have already taken place. The highlight was Redwoods’ new registration as they take over a former Dartline service.

Devon Bus Changes 30 August 2026

Devon County Council have provided details for service changes at the end of August within Devon:

Some of these have already been posted on my listings but quite a few listed below have yet to come through...

• B: Exeter Science Park – Exminster (Stagecoach)
  • This route will no longer serve Exminster and will instead serve the new loop around Matford/Alphington that is currently served by service C. Exminster customers are advised to catch new service X (see below) or 2. There will also be minor timetable amendments.
• C: Exeter Sowton P&R – Matford P&R (Stagecoach)
  • Service withdrawn. Customers from Matford P&R are advised to catch service B, and customers from Sowton P&R are advised to catch new service PR1 (see below).
• E: Exeter City Centre – Exwick (Stagecoach)
  • Minor timetable amendments.
• H: Exeter St Davids – Digby (Stagecoach)
  • Minor timetable amendments.
• M: Exeter City Centre – Mount Dinham (Dartline)
  • Operated by Stagecoach with no change to times.

  • 0545 journey on weekdays from Exeter to Totnes will now start from Matford P&R.

• 678: Witheridge – Exeter (Country Bus)
  • Will operate on Wednesdays only by MD Buses. Route amended to operate via Shobrooke instead of Thorverton.
• 679: Black Dog – Exeter (Dartline)
  • Service withdrawn. Customers from Black Dog and Kennerleigh will be able to catch revised service 369 instead.
• 870: Crediton – Tiverton (Country Bus)
• Will now operate on Fridays by MD Buses.

Service Notice Summary

My usual source for route licensing data is currently down, at least the CSV export I depend on to save time. It’s under investigation, and they hope to have it working again soon — if not, I’ll clearly need to come up with a revised plan!
