- Peak journeys to both Exeter and Plymouth will remain in place for commuters and college students, supplemented by off peak shopping trips during the daytime. Certain journeys will be financially supported by Devon County Council with passengers in Buckfastleigh and Ashburton in mind, although regular links remain in place from these locations on route 88 to Newton Abbot and Totnes. The South West Falcon provides a faster and more comprehansive 24/7 service between Plymouth City Centre and Exeter (connecting with the Park & Ride at Sowton or Honiton Road).
- To provide an extra bit of luxury for no additional cost, the X38 will be operated using Stagecoach Gold specification vehicles whenever possible, offering high back leather seats, extra legroom and free passenger WiFi.

- The route around Sowton will change, with all buses running to Sowton Park & Ride, and then continuing to the industrial estate via junction 30 and a one way clockwise loop of Kestrel Way and Moor Lane. Buses will no longer serve the top of Honiton Road near the Met Office, Honiton Road P&R, Osprey Road or Avocet Road, with the stops on Kestrel Way or the Red Honiton Road P&R service within walking distance.
- The City Centre bus stops will change as a result of the new route, with new stops on the High Street replacing Paris Street (to Sowton) and South Street (to Matford). The new service will simply be known as the Green Park & Ride. Please remember that you will need to get on the bus on the opposite side of the road to where you got off to return to the correct car park.
