May Gurney

I was right!
The plain white Vauxhall Movano vans have now started to receive new May Gurney logos.
I dont get much chance to take pictures in the mornings now as I start work a bit earlier but I did get a few today when this was one of three which passed within a few minutes.
Other news:
It was confirmed today that another one of our VRTs has arrived at Barnley for scrapping. LFJ841W still with a note to say its last day of service was 12th July at Torpoint.
seen below back in happier times in March this year.

May Gurney?

I have been puzzled by the ownership of a sizeable fleet of new vans which have been appearing in Plymouth recently - mostly large white high roofed vans like this one. I am now fairly certain that they belong to May Gurney - who recently have taken over TJ Brent. I know that they were looking at rebranding the fleet into a new livery of white with orange/ yellow logos. I am sure that these vans will soon gain the new logos. Of course I could end up being wrong!

T J Brent

TJ Brent Ltd was until recently a large civil engineering company owned by South West Water's Parent company. It still is a large civil engineering company which covers a large area of the South and West but is now owned by the May-Gurney group. A large fleet of Ford Transit vans is run but there are larger lorries, such as this Iveco Euro Cargo Heavy Tipper.
