  2. It's a shame the Darts needed to be scrapped when they are still perfectly useable. 20 years ago they would have been taken on by other companies but now with "clean air zones" popping up everywhere it's nearly impossible for that to happen. How is it green to scrap a perfectly useable bus that could provide cheap affordable to transport to remote areas?

    1. How do you know they are useable? At that age they may well have terminal chassis corrosion.....

    2. The Darts being scrapped are nearly 20 years old. At that age their book value will have been fully depreciated and it is not worth doing any maintenance on them that would cost more than their scrap value.

    3. The older buses get the more difficult and more expensive they get to maintain. If it was still worth keeping them they would have stayed. 20 years is a long time for a single deck to last. In the days when everything was supposedly wonderful NBC used to depreciate their single decks over 7-10 years.

  4. Sepeate to this, the new Citybus App from Passenger is fantastic, can't wait to see the new website too! Tracking buses has never been so easy for enthusiasts!

  5. 5002 is complete at H&D Trim. Haven't seen any other conversions around, are they all in Cornwall?
