When Plymouth City Transport had this Dennis Dominator on loan for trials in March 1978 it was very much a Leyland City. Dennis was still an upstart producer battling against the might of Leyland. Although as an enthusiast I really liked this bus it clearly didnt make the right impression as it was back to Leyland for more Atlanteans for a few more years.

Little did we know back then that over 35 years later the majority of the double deck fleet in Plymouth would be built by Dennis.
