Although its sad to see the loss of a separate brand for these routes, it has to be said that these buses are long overdue a repaint. I know there has been some discussion as to the choice of DEVON fleet name when they spend a fair amount of time in Cornwall but they are Devon based at the end of the day so it does make sense. It does also allow the buses to be used elsewhere without confusion over route branding.

Tinted Tridend Ta-ta…

Thanks to a comment posted here yesterday it appears that the Tamarlink Tridents are finally being treated to a long overdue repaint.
Sadly it seems these will no longer have a specific Tamar Link livery but will receive the new standard First Bus livery, although it remains to be seen which fleet name they end up carrying - DEVON or CORNWALL - or maybe / hopefully at least some will carry something more specific like TAMARLINK?
Either way now is a good time to get photos of the pink Tridents as they clearly wont be around for a lot longer.
Of course it wasn't just Tridents that carried this livery...

In a special livery for its route incorporating the Torpoint ferry is this ex Midland Red National, here with Western National in Plymouth's Royal Parade. Today, First operates this route with buses in a special livery.
