A few more for Plymouth Citybus this last week including some late additions for the routes taken over from Oakleys a couple of weeks ago along with a few late changes for next week

From Monday 15th August, we’ll be running bus services 55, 56 and 98 between Tavistock and Yelverton, plus an extended Service 59 from Derriford Hospital covering Roborough and Shaugh Prior.
The routes were put out to tender by Devon County Council, and we won the contract to run the services

There are a lot of new timetables from next weekend 4-5th September so these will appear in separate post tomorrow which will cover all of them (104 registrations at the moment!)

  1. Good to see First expanding again. Plymouth station is in need of massive Reading style overhaul with Intercity house being ripped down (I know it's a part of history but it's also an eyesaw!) Your first welcome to Plymouth still feels like that from the 70/80s.

    1. Pretty sure they are not ripping it down! Its certainly getting a big makeover which is much needed. Not sure how much FirstGroup is involved with that though.

    2. It's not, regular routes reduced (both Somerset & Cornwall) + less winter adventures on routes started as year round. Good to see proposed Ilfracombe upgrade though.

Reading is a strategic location on the National Rail passenger and freight network and was one of its worst bottlenecks.The Reading Remodelling Project cost nearly £1 billion and included new flyovers, junctions, resignalling and a new Traincare Depot as well as a new station all of which massively increased capacity through the area. I don't think Plymouth is quite in that league!
