Service changes this week

There are quite a few bus services due to change this week as we slowly start to lift lockdown restrictions. Most of these below are Stagecoach so they wont have appeared in Devon & Cornwall Transit posts as they are not publishing theirs on the Vehicle Operator Licensing Local Bus Services site like everyone else.  I have a feeling there may be more but these are all I can find on the Stagecoach Web Site which is never the easiest place to find things. As usual follow the links on the licence number to get the full details including the new timetables.

  1. Still can't download the stagecoach timetables of the website. They start on Sunday

  2. I’m not sure that Stagecoach Southwest *don’t* publish them more a huge backlog within the OTC’s UK-wide. The webpage is the output of open data used for bus service registration - and Stagecoach Southwest don’t have the option whether this appears or not. In normal times, however, there was always a delay between those registrations submitted by post vs those submitted in EBSR (Electronic Bus Service Registration). The former would appear and remain on that day and when you undertook searches using the criteria on the webpage, however the latter would appear briefly (few hours maximum) on the day submitted then would only appear on retrospective searches. Really was hit and miss.

    1. Thanks for this, it could well be the backlog, although it strikes me as odd that all the Citybus / Transport for Cornwall changes go through really quickly whereas very few seem to go through for SC at all. I know the rules have been relaxed as to what has to be notified. I am sure it will all settle down eventually!

  3. Graham, absolutely and no way any criticism of this excellent blog! There was definitely a different way in how the search faculty treated ‘manual’ submissions vs EBSR. I don’t think GSW are on EBSR, whereas all Stagecoach subsidiaries are.

    1. But SC has yet again failed to let its customers see its new timetables in advance which is extremely poor, particularly with no printed timetables or travel offices now! 0 out of 10 I'm afraid, it can't even say it's all on the internet. Treating it's passengers very poorly indeed.

    2. I have to say whilst I like Stagecoach and prefer them to Citybus, SC customer service and info is at best poor. Their complete and utter incompetence and inability to do the basics of telling customers of timetable changes etc is staggering as is the rather pathetic info at bus stops

    3. Yes agree Stagecoach timetable info (including service changes) is very poor & no way to run a bus company trying to attract customers!
