  1. This looks really good! Plymouth Citybus still have just over 50 vehicles left in a combination of the black band and red skirt liveries (according to the fleet list), it will be good to see a more uniform image being presented as they are re-painted although I suspect it will be some time before the task is complete.

  2. I hope there are still some of these left for the Ernesettle service - they look really smart in the Ray Stenning livery, possibly because the chrome on the front offsets the dark maroon colour.

  3. Talking of new liveries - here is an interesting one. Spotted a First Optare today, which I think was 53011, in the new First livery - with Tavistock written down the side! It was in service but heading towards Plymstock, so evidently not on 83 or 86 at the time!

    1. The Optare Solo is 53111 (not 53011) and normally lives at Tavistock outstation for the Tavistock Town Service.
It returns to Plymouth for regular maintenance etc and usually stays a couple of days thereafter in service before returning to Tavistock.

  4. Not bad but it could look better. I don't get why the stripes can't blend in better at the front (the deckers are the same). The stark vertical cut-off just makes it look like the bus has had a front-end accident repair. And surely the place names on the roof are too big, did someone get the size wrong?

    1. How about painting the whole of the front end dark blue?

  5. That's not new. It's the Tavistock based Solo used on the Tavistock Town Service

  6. I have noticed that this week all of Citybus' single/return fares info has gone from bus stops. All the links have gone from the website too. Does this mean that following the season ticket price rises this week, the single/return fares are about to go up too ??

Is Citybus not pulling it's weight for Go Ahead, not contributing enough towards the £103m profit perhaps ?
