Enviro Evolved

Go Ahead Group have this very smart new Alexander Dennis Enviro 400 on loan at the moment which has been doing the rounds within the group. Yesterday it arrived with Plymouth Citybus  and Brian George managed to get a few quick shots on his mobile.

We have not had any confirmation of any new orders for Plymouth Citybus for this year but we do know that Go Ahead have ordered a large batch of these Enviro 400s so if Citybus do get anymore new double deckers this year there is a good chance that they will be these! (They almost certainly wont have tables upstairs though...)

  1. Lovely looking vehicle, designed in consultation with operators. Makes the Gemini look decidedly ancient.

  2. Perhaps Citybus will order some and then muscle in on the Park and Ride. Or is a Navy Flash going to appear? Torpoint perhaps.

    1. Pretty sure they are not interesting in Park & Ride - at least not on a commercial basis. They are planning for more Flash colours - but as to what routes they will be is anyone's guess!

    4. Perhaps you're referring to the 02 reg Eclipses that are making their way onto the PR2 at the moment (in essence a single deck version of the Gemini)? A handful have just of Eclipse bodied B7Ls have just arrived from Taunton having been replaced by slightly newer B7RLEs on the Minehead route.

  6. Why wouldn't go ahead be interested in park and ride, every new route they have tried have been a success, people are fed up with the poor service first provide, I say good luck to them, tables would be ideal for commuters!

  8. First have a Volvo here, 60917 which has been on PR2 duties this week.

Prehaps one of the new flash colours will be a Mount Batten run, or the 5/5A running like 21/21A.
