Cornish Confidence.

The much promised announcement from First Devon & Cornwall has yet to materialise but an interesting new service in Cornwall does make their news pages:

Students at Falmouth University will have a dedicated bus service between Penryn Campus and Falmouth from 29 September.
The new U1 from First runs every 15 minutes between the Penryn and Falmouth campuses, via Penryn and Falmouth town, from Monday to Friday during term time. A single fare costs just 80p when customers show valid Falmouth University or University of Exeter student or staff ID. This 80p flat fare is also valid for students and staff on Firsts service 41 and 88 services when the U1 isn't running. The U1 service includes late night buses on Thursday and Friday

With this and the recent takeover of the Truro Park & Ride you really do get the sense of confidence that First have in the Cornwall operation that just does not exist in the Devon side at all. Which makes it all the more surprising that the new livery has yet to make an appearance in Cornwall. I have long had a hunch that we will see something slightly different for First Kernow. It just seems to be a very long time coming!

  2. This batch of Darts are actually fairly presentable inside & the ride quality isn't too bad either, certainly have a few more years left in them.
