Ten: Icelandic style

Every six months I do a quick series on the last registration period to see a flavour of new vehicles out and about on the roads of Plymouth. I have delayed doing 10 Registrations as I have so few of them. No local buses (unless I have missed something?) and just a few vans and lorries, mostly with no local connection just passing through.
I do have this one van from Iceland...
Iceland CY10AON Iceland CX59NWM
An earlier one
Now I have a working (old) computer again (even if its very slow!) I can get back out taking photos - just need some better weather during the next week!
Back in the summer of 1995 I took a week's tour around Yorkshire starting in Keighley, heading across the north of the county through former West Yorkshire Road Car territory Transport Illustrated

  1. Please forgive me and delete this comment if it is deemed inappropriate (as it concerns a rumour). As you have discussed on your blog, the FDC 48 service to Wembury is withdrawn from the last service on Saturday 27th November. I fully appreciate that this was primarily a commercial service and therefore if it is no longer financially viable then FDC are able to cancel the service in the manner they have done. As I am sure everyone will appreciate this is of concern to the passengers who rely on these buses. There has been absolutely no information as to what will happen from 28th November, from either FDC, Devon County Council or Wembury Parish Council. There is, however, I understand a rumour at FDC’s Plymouth depot that PCB is to take over the running of this service. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard this or had any information?

  5. Thanks for your replies. I too have now heard that Target may be negotiating for it. From what I have heard there may be buses in a morning and afternoon to meet the school obligations, with maybe a couple more during the day. It appears that there is unlikely to be anything after about 5pm.
