Beryl in Burnley

Earlier in the week we had Discovery Tours Leyland Leopard “Beryl” and one reader was curious as to her age. Thanks to Gordon Watkins I can now bring you a photo of the bus in her original state as Burnley & Pendle YHG16V:

I think I prefer the original Alexander body but its nice to see her still trundling round Plymouth.

Ghostly Leopard to prowl the streets of Plymouth

A TEAM of ghost hunters are launching a ghost bus – touring the most haunted areas of Plymouth.

Ghosts In The UK, (formerly Plymouth-based Magic2k), will be running the bus in partnership with Plymouth Discovery Tours.

Founder of Ghosts In The UK, Neil Trigger has joined forces with Lorna and Graham Pearce of Plymouth Discovery Tours to utilise their famous bus 'Beryl' to run the ghost tours.

"Beryl is the perfect tour bus to conjure the ghostly atmosphere and Lorna and Graham are brilliant," Neil says.

"This is our thirteenth year as providers of paranormal tours – a significant number for us – and we want to really expand over the next twelve months."

Plymouth Discovery Tours Ltd

Its not an open top service but it does look like there is going to be a Plymouth Tour service operating this year. Plymouth Discovery Tours are starting up on the 28th April with a 41 seater bus.

You will have an experience you are not likely to have had before and not want to forget for a long time to come. In an action packed hour Discovery Tours will promote this dynamic and vibrant city with its ever changing face and relive its colourful historical past

It seems to be a mixture of bus tour with audio visual aids on the bus. There are no details of where the tour actually goes on their web site which is a shame but lets wait and see if more details appear before it starts up.
