After a hectic week, I need to catch up, so let’s kick things off with the full details from Stagecoach about the service changes taking effect on 5th April.

with the Monday to Friday timetable. 0640 Monday to Friday journey from Dawlish to Exeter will be withdrawn due to close proximity to other services. Many departure times on Sunday and Public Holidays are amended. 1755 Monday to Friday journey from Newton Abbot to Teignmouth will become a College Days only journey and extended to Exminster. |

| Service 4 (University of Exeter / Exeter St Davids – Cranbrook via City Centre) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. Monday to Friday peak time frequency adjusted from 12 to 15 minutes, however, with additional schedule resilience included. |
| Service 4A (Exeter St Davids – Exeter Airport via City Centre) | A revised timetable will see departure times change and the gap between journeys slightly increased at off-peak times, while this will be improved at peak times. |
| Service 5/5A/5C (Exeter – Crediton / Okehampton / Chulmleigh) | 0705 Monday to Friday Service 5A from Exeter to
Okehampton will depart earlier at 0650 and will additionally serve Moor View
and Okehampton College. 1530 Monday to Friday Service 5A from Okehampton to Exeter will be revised to start from Okehampton College at 1520 on college days only, departing Market Street slightly earlier at 1526 and additionally serving Moor View. 1335 Monday to Friday Service 5A from Exeter to Okehampton will depart earlier at 1320 to facilitate changes elsewhere in the timetable. 1320 Monday to Friday Service 5 from Exeter to Crediton will depart later at 1335 to facilitate changes elsewhere in the timetable. |

and Saturday journey from Exeter to Barnstaple will depart 10 minutes later
at 1750 to allow for improved spacing with other services and improved
connections. 1400 Monday to Friday and Saturday journey from Exeter to Barnstaple will depart 10 minutes earlier at 1350 to assist with an on-time departure of a subsequent journey. |
| Service 7/92 (Exeter – Dartmouth via Newton Abbot and Totnes) | Following working in partnership with Devon County
Council, a new timetable will be introduced on Service 7, which incorporates
the current Service 92 between Totnes and Dartmouth. From 5 April 2026, Service 7 will operate up to every hour between Exeter and Dartmouth via Newton Abbot and Totnes, providing a number of new journey opportunities, with through tickets and no requirement to change buses. There are some additional early morning and evening journeys introduced to the timetable between Matford Park and Ride and Newton Abbot. Journeys will no longer stop within the Dartmouth Park and Ride site, however, will still serve stops nearby on the main road. |
| Service 9/9A (Exeter – Honiton / Seaton) | On Sunday and Public Holidays until Sunday 25 October 2026 an additional Service 9 journey will operate at 1000 from Sidmouth to Honiton Railway Station. |
| Service 14 (Bideford to Goaman Estate Circular) | To accommodate changes to the Service 16 timetable, there are some minor timing changes to the three journeys on Service 14 operating on Tuesday and Thursday each week. |
| Service 16 (Bideford to Westward Ho! and Appledore Circular) | Following customer requests, the three journeys on Service 16 operating on Tuesday and Thursday each week will operate a slightly amended route to serve Bay View Road in Northam. |
| Service 19 (North Devon District Hospital to Roundswell via Town Centre) | There are some minor changes to the timetable, with
a small number of journeys from Roundswell to NDDH breaking at Barnstaple Bus
Station, where a change of bus may be required for journeys across Barnstaple
Bus Station. Service 19 will continue to operate every 30 minutes throughout the day Monday to Friday and Saturday, with some journeys operated with financial support. |
| Service 19 (City Centre to Plympton Ridgeway) | Minor timetable
changes to improve reliability and punctuality. Some departure times are amended to facilitate capacity constraints on Royal Parade. |
| Service 21 (Barnstaple to Westward Ho! via Bideford) | There are some minor changes to the timetable,
especially at peak times, to improve reliability and punctuality. The daily evening timetable is adjusted, impacting journeys between Northam and Westward Ho! / Appledore only. Westward Ho! benefits from later daily journeys at 2325 to Barnstaple and 0010 to Northam and follows requests from customers. |
| Service 21A (Barnstaple to Appledore via Bideford) | There are some minor
changes to the timetable, especially at peak times, to improve reliability
and punctuality. The daily evening timetable is adjusted, impacting journeys between Northam and Westward Ho! / Appledore only. |
| Service 21B (Barnstaple to Ilfracombe via Braunton) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. A small number of Monday to Friday late afternoon journeys will be curtailed to start and terminate at Barnstaple Railway Station instead of Pottington, with some departure times also amended. |
| Service 21C (Barnstaple to Croyde Bay / Georgeham via Braunton) | Minor timetable
changes to improve reliability and punctuality. On Monday to Friday schooldays an additional journey will operate at 0750 from Georgeham to Braunton Academy, arriving at 0830. On Monday to Friday schooldays an additional journey will operate at 1525 from Braunton Academy to Georgeham, arriving at 1601. A number of journeys will depart Georgeham / Croyde Bay five minutes later, to allow for additional running and recovery time, which will improve reliability and punctuality. |
| Service 38 (Exeter – Buckfastleigh – Plymouth) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and

punctuality. Some departure times are amended to accommodate changes to running times. 0700 Monday to Friday journey from Holsworthy to Barnstaple will depart five minutes earlier at 0655 to ensure an on-time arrival into Barnstaple. |
| Service 72 (Barnstaple to Shebbear via Newton Tracey and Great Torrington) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality. |
| Service 80 (Plymouth to Paignton via Totnes) | 2210 Saturday journey from Plymouth to Totnes will
be extended to Paignton, providing a later last journey into Paignton. New 2340 Saturday journey from Paignton to Totnes will be introduced, providing a later last journey for those customers returning to Totnes. 0800 Monday to Friday journey from Plymouth to Paignton will operate 5 minutes earlier and additionally serve Ivybridge Community College. 1425 Monday to Friday journey from Paignton to Plymouth will operate 5 minutes later and additionally serve Ivybridge Community College. |
| Service 81 (South Devon College – Kingsbridge) | Service SD3 will be
re-numbered as Service 81. The morning journey from Kingsbridge to South Devon College is broadly unchanged. The afternoon journey will start from Totnes and connect with 1640 Service 80 from Paignton via South Devon College, with a guaranteed connection. |
| Service 84 (Holsworthy to Tavistock) | Following a review of the current Service 85
between Barnstaple and Tavistock, Service 85 will be revised to operate
between Barnstaple and Holsworthy / Bridgerule only. Customers using the section of route between Holsworthy and Tavistock will be able to use new Service 84, however, please note that Services 84 and 85 do not provide guaranteed connections at Holsworthy. Service 84 will follow the same route as the current Service 85 between Holsworthy and Tavistock and will provide Monday to Saturday departures from Holsworthy at 0945, 1245 and 1840, with departures from Tavistock at 0835, 1130, 1430 (to Milton Abbot / Launceston) and 1730. |
| Service 85 (Barnstaple – Holsworthy - Tavistock) | Minor timetable
changes to improve reliability and punctuality. Following a review of the current Service 85 between Barnstaple and Tavistock, Service 85 will be revised to operate between Barnstaple and Holsworthy / Bridgerule only. Service 85 will offer four journeys between Barnstaple and Holsworthy / Bridgerule and five journeys between Bridgerule / Holsworthy and Barnstaple Monday to Saturday daytime. Customers using the section of route between Holsworthy and Tavistock should refer to new Service 84 for further information, however, please note that Services 84 and 85 do not provide guaranteed connections at Holsworthy. Bridgerule residents will benefit from an additional journey at 1850, operating through to Holsworthy and Barnstaple. |
| Service 87/87A (Tavistock to Bere Ferrers and Bere Alston) | 0910 journey from Berres Ferrers to Tavistock will be re-timed to depart at 0912, which follows requests from customers. |
| Service 95 (Exmouth – Sandy Bay) from 29 March 2026 | Open top Service 95
will resume from Sunday 29 March 2026 for the 2026 season. Between Sunday 29 March 2026 and Saturday 23 May 2026 the off-peak timetable will operate, with departures up to every 60 minutes. Between Sunday 24 May 2026 and Saturday 29 August 2026 the peak timetable will operate, with departures up to every 30 minutes. Between Sunday 30 August 2026 and Saturday 31 October 2026 the off-peak timetable will operate, with departures up to every 60 minutes. |
| Service 98/98A (Exmouth – Littleham) | Following a review of demand and frequency on
Services 98 and 98A, all journeys will operate as Service 98 and operate
every 60 minutes throughout the day, following the current Service 98A
route. Due to the minor route change, Midway and Roseway will no longer be served, with alternative bus stops available nearby at Capel Lane, Littleham Crescent and Liverton Close. |
| Service 99 (Exmouth – Brixington) | There are some minor changes to provide a more clockface timetable. |
| Service 99E (Brixington – Littleham via Exmouth Town Centre) | 1805 Monday to Friday and Saturday journey from
Pankhurst Close to Brixington will start at 1804 from Rodney Close. The majority of departure times are advanced by three minutes. |
| Service 118 (Tavistock to Okehampton) | There are a number of
changes to the route and timetable of Service 118, which will deliver a
number of improvements to the timetable. Following requests from local residents, three journeys in each direction Monday to Saturday will now additionally serve Bridestowe. |
| Service 157 (Exmouth – Sidmouth via Budleigh
Salterton) Service 357 (Exmouth - Budleigh Salterton via Cranford Avenue) |
Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. To provide sufficient capacity for school and college movements, as well as additional capacity over the busy summer months, all journeys will be operated by double deckers. Service 357 will continue to terminate at Strand, however, will start from Exmouth Parade rather Strand, which follows requests from customers. An additional journey will operate at 0750 Monday to Friday schooldays from Budleigh Salterton to Exmouth College to provide additional capacity. An additional journey will operate at 1510 Monday to Friday schooldays from Exmouth College to East Budleigh to provide additional capacity |
| Service 303 (Barnstaple to Woolacombe) | 1750 Monday to Friday journey from Barnstaple to Woolacombe will be revised to start from Braunton Tesco at 1812, with any customers from Barnstaple required to travel on the 1754 Service 21B departure to Ilfracombe and change at Braunton for a guaranteed connection. |
| Service 309/310 (Barnstaple to Lynton / Lynmouth) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. There are minor changes to some morning journeys to improve connections with trains towards Exeter. Service 309 journeys will follow the same route in both directions serving Bicton Street and Easterclose in both directions. |
| Service 351 (Tiverton – Rackenford Meadow) | 1205 Monday to Friday journey from Tiverton Bus Station will depart at 1210 to facilitate changes to Service 373. |
| Service 355 (Exeter - Tiverton) | There are no changes to the route and timetable, however, Service 355 will now arrive and depart from Bay 1 in Exeter Bus Station. |
| Service 373 (Cullompton – Tiverton) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and punctuality, with a particular focus on school and college journeys. |
| Service 379 (Axminster – Seaton / Beer) | Service 379 resumes for the 2026 season and will
operate until Sunday 25 October 2026. 1105 journey from Axminster Trinity Square to Beer will now start from Millway Rise at 1100, providing an earlier journey from Millway Rise to Seaton and Beer. 1705 journey from Beer to Axminster Trinity Square will be extended to Millway Rise, providing a later journey opportunity to Millway Rise. |
| Service 15/15A (Barnstaple to East the Water Circular) | Minor timetable
changes, especially to some journeys that operate to and from Barnstaple. Sunday and Public Holiday journeys between Affinity Outlet and Bideford Quay will be re-numbered from Service 15 to Service 15A, which provides consistency with other days of operation, as well as serving stops on the same side of the road as other days of operation. |
| Service A (Alphington - City Centre) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. The frequency of buses during off-peak hours Monday to Friday and Saturday will remain every 15 minutes, however, during the Monday to Friday morning and afternoon rush hours, the frequency will be adjusted slightly, with buses operating approximately every 20 minutes, which reflects customer demand. Where possible, a co-ordinated timetable with Service E will operate between the City Centre and St Thomas, providing a bus up to every 7/8 minutes. |
| Service B (Monkerton – Exminster via City Centre) | Minor timetable
changes to improve reliability and punctuality. There is a slight frequency reduction to the timetable during the Monday to Friday late afternoon and early evening. |
| Service C (Matford Park & Ride – Sowton Park & Ride via City Centre) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. To better serve new housing developments in South West Exeter, there will be some changes to the route of Service C using Section 106 funding. The majority of journeys on Service C will be extended beyond Matford Park and Ride to Alphington via Bad Homburg Way, A379, Chudleigh Road and Church Road, returning via Dawlish Road, Chantry Meadow, Chudleigh Road, A379 and Bad Homburg Way. There will also be a change to the route in Marsh Barton, where part of Alphin Brook Road and Grace Road Central will no longer be served and with buses following a consistent route with Service B via Trusham Road, which will double the frequency of buses at a number of bus stops. The Sunday and Public Holiday timetable will be amended to operate every 60 minutes between Alphington and City Centre via Matford Park and Ride. |
| Service E (City Centre – Exwick) | The Monday to Friday
daytime frequency of buses will be adjusted to every 15 minutes, which
matches the Saturday daytime frequency. Where possible, a co-ordinated timetable with Service A will operate between the City Centre and St Thomas, providing a bus up to every 7/8 minutes. |
| Service R/S (Wonford and Thornpark Rise Circular) | Minor timetable changes to improve reliability and
punctuality. The Monday to Friday daytime frequency of buses will be adjusted to every 30 minutes on each service, which matches the Saturday daytime frequency. |
