    1. I have to agree. From a passenger's point of view, these are really nice buses - smooth, quiet, spacious and comfortable. I wish I could say the same about the Yutong deckers in Taunton!

  2. Isn't it about time Stagecoach got new ticket machines. There current machines are old and the amount of times they reject people's contactless cards and phones

    1. I've not had any problems like that but it does seem that Stagecoach buses do seem to spend longer boarding people than Go-Ahead and First do. Stagecoach really need to move to Tap On Tap Off, perhaps there's a connection?!

    2. Stagecoach ticket machines don't even scan the QR codes on there App tickets, so what is the point of a QR code

  3. Smashing shots, Graham. Only feels like yesterday you posted similar evening time photos of the 69 plate Cities 566 batch up at Derriford when brand new !

    1. Its hard to believe that only 15 or so years ago, everything was run with single-decks!

    2. Very good point. When Go Ahead took over end of 2009 they'd just brought in 401 to 419 from London largely used on the competing 26 to Pillmere to start with. These did see off a couple of the old Volvo B10 double decks but due t o the competition with first most of these continued for several more years.

Since go ahead though 2011 saw another batch of B7s this time presidents 420 to 419 to see off the last of the step darts , 2013 saw more B7s 430 to 442 and an influx of new E400s 501 to 520 throughout 2013 14. So yes, even in just a few years 2009 to 14, the percentage of the fleet being deckers would have no doubt gone up considerably!

  4. Just seen a CityBus double decker in swoop livery being towed up the A38, about 9.15pm today, 5/11/25. Any ideas which one? 460 perhaps after it's collision with the hospital?

    1. These are going to and from ADL for refurbishment. Bus 524 came back last night. Bus 531 went this morning. Bus 527 also up ADL went up in September.

    2. What refurbishments inside are being done with them? Will all of 501-538 receive a refurb? And will 531 have a repaint whilst there?
