Coach makeover

Plymouth Citybus have been making changes to their coach fleet. Along with the recent additions to the fleet they are having a bit of a makeover. YX14SFE is seen here in the paint shop as a bit of a teaser!

It shouldn't be too long to wait for the new look which seems to be white based rather than the current blue.

  1. White would suggest a Dartline integration into the Citybus coach fleet - whether it will be called Dartline, who knows, but i'd imagine it would be something along those lines...

  2. Anon could well be right - be interesting to see when it eventually comes out, unless anyone else knows what is happening already?

  3. Updates on a few things in the fleet: two coaches sold 314/315. Half of the solos in Dartline. One NL already in Dartline Livery. No sign of change to the livery or additions with GoAhead labels etc. Looks like Citybus coaches will become Dartline. All have been repainted now. The London E400s are close to completion and rumoured to replace some Scanias to go to Reserve fleet.

    1. Coaches and 503 in White are supposedly not for Dartline. Remains to be seen what is appearing, but it looks like they're all getting wrapped.

    2. I believe that 503 is just having another advert wrap but lets wait and see. Plans can and often do change. It also seems that most if not all Solos are now going to Dartline.

    3. i guess they have an excess in white paint! - imagine a White Citybus livery with Red lines?!

  4. One of the ex-GNE Solos could be for the Dartmoor routes 55, 56 and 98, which will have revised timetables from Monday 20th February. A "larger vehicle" is to be used on one of the duties as some journeys on the 98 require additional capacity.

  5. it will be very interesting to see what happens in the coming months with Plymouths Bus Improvement plan as it's come back to light again... I am really hoping to see some positive movement with this, otherwise, the roads will stay as heavily clogged as they currently are.

    1. Thought Plymouth/Torbay/Dorset got nothing?

  6. Go South West Coach Hire! Smart and simple. Looks quite nice. Makes the Citybus livery look bland
