  1. STILL no service on Boxing Day and New Year's Day? It's about time Citybus got with the times. Plymouth must be the one of the last few cities in the country with no service on these days.

    1. Stagecoach are running boxing day in Plymouth and surrounding areas They did run new years day a few years ago but seem to have now scaled that back to Falcon only

    2. I dont see the point of running services on New Years Day this year. We are all supposed to be staying at home anyway so the buses will be pretty empty even if they do run. Quiet a few of the shops who would normally open have said they will stay closed this year. Let the drivers have a day off

  2. Sorry but arnt the drivers allowed to spend time with their families over the Xmas weekend. And a lot of shops are also deciding not to open on boxing day to allow their staff a bit of a break

    1. Short answer no tho at least some operators and the railway do let staff have 2 days off.

  3. To your question I would in a normal year ask why? However, for this year obviously the less people in circulation in better.

  4. Key workers still need to get about on Boxing Day and New Year's Day. There should be a service.

    1. Many employers will arrange for transport for those that need it. Taxis etc will still be running. No point in paying out a lot of money for buses to run round empty all day.
