I must admit I prefer her in red. Thanks to Peter for the photo.

Just a quick line about the fleet lists - I am afraid they are currently quite a bit out of date and are not likely to be updated for a while yet as my present PC is at the end of its useful life and Google Docs now grinds to a halt if I try and do anything useful!

The good news is that a new PC will soon be purchased and I hope to start to rebuild all the fleetlists back in Microsoft Office and make them available online once again. I will also be able to get back to regular posting on PT too!

  1. Is this proof that the ‘flash’ branding is being removed?
With the sale of the Volvo’s seeming fairly imminent, these now being taken from Orange to Red, the 42 corridor is frequently now using non flash branded rolling stock, and Green flash seems to be spilling out all over, are they going back to having a full fleet of standard livery?
I suspect excluding the Spark though? And would imagine if the rumours are true, new E200MMC and 400City would have some kind of branding.

    1. The reason green flash has been all over is because of the roadworks at the viaduct. 154 was 20 minutes late and changed into a 27. 153 was on the 48 earlier in the day then changed into a 23. They always put green flash on the 16/33 route in the evenings then usually a citaro on the 23 and an enviro 200 on the 24.

The 42s have been going on like this for ages though. 709 was on the 42c and from my 34 (531) it was absolutely packed. Then came 565 on the 42 which was behind former citybus 214.

Route 33 had 472 on it which from when I saw it on the 9 on Sunday was converted to single door. 138 usually on the 16 and 33 was on the 43 as 704 was parked outside the aspire flats looking like it had broken down as it had been there all afternoon.

A dart was on the 23 today.

    2. 472 has also been on a 5 this week, as well as 507.

  2. It does look like it! I guess that they will keep branding on the 21 and the 50 51 as these both work well.

    1. sparks and ocs will have their own liveries. plus any all over advert buses, other than that, everything will revert to swoops

    2. Does this mean the new e400Citys will be branded for spark?
Seems a shame to not brand massive investment in new stock. Especially the stock allegedly ear marker for the Cornish fleet given how much investment first have made in that neck of the woods!

  3. I will miss the London Country style 'Flying Polo Mint' logo on these buses.

And good news about your new investment, Graham !

Looking forward to the output, in due course.

  4. Actually, there was new duties introduced on Tuesday the 28th of May which means GreenFlash normally service the 8/9 for a few hours then turn into either 23/24 or 27. also a few darts go on through the day and turn into 35A after then go back onto 44.
