Staff were expecting them to start Sun 4 Dec alongside the other service changes but on the day told me they didn't due to 'technical issues'.
'Unspecifie problems' means a gas leak! Typical incompetent PCB buying buses that don't work
well they clearly do work, and have been working for a few years. Once a few teething problems have been sorted out I am sure they will prove to be good additions to the fleet.
They have been owned by Go Ahead for years .
I am so sorry that you are never going to get First back in Plymouth - but don't be too hard on Citybus. As Graham said, they obviously do work and other operators have found them successful. Perhaps you could give Citybus just a tiny little bit of credit for trying to make the air a bit cleaner. I still worry about putting 'There in a flash' on a gas bus, though.
have they got the filling areas for these buses now?? if thats not done then that could also be why there not out
Passed an Orange Flash coming down North Hill on Thu lunchtime (didn't get the fleet number) but labelled as "Not in Service".
Not much different from most Citybus services I see.. Lol
I seen a few road testing today 8/12/16
Gas bus 711 outshopped in Citybus red swooped livery - seen at Milehouse on 08/12/16.
Heavily stripped shells of Dart 31 and MPD 205 in the raised depot. Darts 24 and 35 in the Lower Yard behind the raised depot being stripped.
12-12-16 Stripped shell of Dart 31 moved out of raised depot ready for tow to the scrapyard and its place in raised depot taken by Dart 35.
712 also outshopped in red livery.
