  1. From this I stand by what I said when Stagecoach took over and first didnt register Saltash then changed their minds!¬ This is the first step to a PCB withdrawal from Saltash., Other than Fore Street, the rest of Saltash has had big cuts to it;s frequency leaving Stagecoach with much better, frequent and cheaper service. Also with a lot of PCB services through Fore Street being long distance routes from different locations in practice I Suspect the every 10 min service will not be this and instead will see big gaps in between runs of buses, thus killing off their market share on the corridor. Game, set and match to Stagecoach. Give it 6 months or so then only the 11 and 12 PCB will serve Saltash effectively conceding this to Stagecoach just like Mountbatten , Ivybridge and Tavistock. Customers will not pay £61 a month for less service than £40 to the opposition.

  2. In which case, why isn't PCB scrapping the 10 altogether and having done with it?

And even if the 10 goes, PCB still has up to four buses an hour on the 11/11a/12, which is hardly "conceding" and "withdrawal" in my book. If this were to happen higher fares might actually suit PCB, as it would deter some of the shorter journeys and leave the capacity for longer-distance travellers. Although I do note at the moment that both Stagecoach and PCB both offer their own £3 day and £11 weekly ticket between Plymouth and Saltash.

  4. Sunday timetable looks a bit difficult to read, why not just make it take up less space?

  5. I see this as rather a large scale cut back in Citybus services to Saltash. They say that they still run every 10 mins from Fore St to Plymouth with the 10/11/12 which of course they do, but the vast majority of customers live in the estates, i.e Burraton, St Stephens, Pilmere and catch buses from there down to Fore St or into town. Citybus will lose big time from this in Saltash I fear and have gifted the route to Stagecoach

    1. Probably the First Kernow decker for a schools contract that used to "overnight" at Torpoint Depot.(since now closed of course)

    2. It's 32754. I think that it's the vehicle for the Truro college contract from Callington area, but is now parked up while the college is closed for Christmas.

I believe it is actually the Par contract and this is one of three Truro College vehicles now outstationed with other operators. This one is a PCB Liskeard, the Callington and Launceston ones are at Jacketts and Webbers of Bodmin.
