Looking for something to do next weekend? Well Kingsbridge is the place to be on Saturday 19th September as it sees the 2nd Kingsbridge Vintage Bus Running Day. Everyone agreed it was a great success last year, and was easily my favourite event of the year and this year promises to be even better... Western National L401VCV (by didbygraham) In their own words...
After the great success of the first Kingsbridge Running Day last year when we had 21 vehicles in service on 11 different routes, we are delighted to invite you to this second event in the South Hams. We are organising this vintage bus running day on the day before WHOTT’s annual rally at Westpoint in order to give enthusiasts and bus owners from further afield a full weekend of bus related nostalgia. The routes we plan to use are those formerly operated by the Great Western Railway Road Motors, the Western National Omnibus Company and other local operators such as Tally Ho! Services to Beesands,East Portlemouth, South Poole, Slapton, Salcombe, Thurlestone, Bantham, Loddiswell, California Cross and East Allington are being scheduled as last year and there will be several new routes

I am certainly attending this one, with my son Zak, who always looks forward to seeing Terry and his bus L401VCV. When most young kids play with Action Man my son was playing "Terry and Brian(George)" with a Western National Dart verses a Citybus Dart(Terry usually wins!)
