Crazy Idea?
Union street businesses and residents living close to one of Plymouth's park-and-ride sites have come out strongly against the idea of a 'booze bus' for clubbers.
Residents of Outland Road reacted with dismay after the Herald reported a suggestion made at a meeting between the city council and partners such as the police that late-night drinkers could be bussed out-of-town to an area with taxis and food stalls.
The Milehouse park-and-ride site would be a likely venue for the scheme, which has so far only been raised as an idea.
I cant imagine this one getting off the ground the local residents would certainly do their best to stop it, and even if they didnt - I cant imagine many people actually taking up the offer anyway. Back to the drawing board I think!
