First poor service & Citaros

12:00 - 05 November 2005
The boss of bus operator First today apologised to customers for the service they had received over the summer - and pledged that the firm had now turned a corner and was back on the right road. Gerald Taylor, managing director of First Devon and Cornwall, made a frank admission that his company's services during the summer and early autumn had been 'disappointing'.

Good news though - it seems that the new Citybus Citaros have now hit the road. Several have been noted around the city, mostly on driver familiarisation etc. I am hoping to get out very soon and get photos myself.

Torpoint:
It seems that the VRTs are getting nearer to extinction! It is thought that Torpoint will be getting some of the K reg Olympians as replacements with at least K801ORL believed to be at the depot in Plymouth being prepared for service. possibly just hanging on for the last of the new Torpoint Ferries to be up and running first. LFJ844W sounds to be in a poor state so it remains to be seen how long she lasts. LFJ846/7W still soldiering on for the time being at least.
