Yesterday was International Womens Day and Plymouth Citybus decorated up number 565 for the day.
Thanks to Jason Beverley for the photos. For those of you that like to look out of windows - don't worry - the vinyls were all removed by 3pm!
“Being a driver with Plymouth Citybus is a great option for women, if you look back over the years since buses went into operation (or even 20 to 30 years ago), it was a very different picture; there were few women in the role of bus driver.
"Today more than one in 10 of our drivers is a female. This is reason to celebrate, however we believe we can and should do more, we are committed to seeing this number rise as local women recognise that they too can enjoy working in the transport industry.
