  • With a population of around 320,000 in its metropolitan area, Victoria is located at the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Random Streets
  • But when a leaflet flopped though fbb's letter box, the old codger was shocked by what he read thereupon! FIVE operators or one service? Surely some mistake? Public Transport Experience

  • The Institute of Transport, asked a survey question about "social networking" web sites. The question was, in essence, "do you rely on social networking sites for obtaining up-to-date information?" Public Transport Experience
  • Blackpool standardised on Leyland Titans for its double deckers from 1932 to 1968. Indeed other than a Tilling Stevens bus in 1922 and two Guy Arabs in 1933 it bought nothing else. Fylde Bus Blog
  • By the time fbb took his family to Paris in 1991, the final death throes has already begun. The train was a very ordinary Southern Region electric multiple unit arriving at a somewhat run-down station. Public Transport Experience
  • First, let’s hop back in time 50 years. This was a period when the double deck ruled, when buses were crewed and when numbers were still buoyant (though admittedly declining). The problems that beset the industry weren’t far away but the early 1960s were still positive. Omnibuses
  • David Bell visited Northampton last week, the town is fairly interesting from a bus enthusiasts point of view with a wide variety of vehicles run by several bus operators Andys Bus Blog
