I had hoped to publish this section yesterday but better late than never. Back in August 2001 Devon Fire Brigade hosted the National Crash Rescue competition where brigades from across the country competed against each other to rescue volunteers from crashed cars. We start the week with a flavour of the actual crash rescues in progress...
The amazing thing was that the volunteers had to get into the cars first before they could be rescued!

Tomorrow I will feature some of the Devon Fire Brigade fleet which were present at the event.
