Only thing I can't understand is Stagecoach do not advertise their cheaper fares at all. People do not know until they try their services Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-33034013011673795892022-01-06T17:30:47.529+00:002022-01-06T17:30:47.529+00:00We are talking about private companies here. Citybus on the other hand have endeavoured to serve most parts of the the city including routes which, at least in part, have low passenger numbers and presumably make little or no profit. Different company policies. Stagecoach fares for passengers on the busy corridors are fine but the net effect is the undermining of a viable comprehensive citywide network.
lutongreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17498574144460425468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-49607682671670465822022-01-06T10:20:08.604+00:002022-01-06T10:20:08.604+00:00Yes similar from Manadon through Mannamead Road an...Yes similar from Manadon through Mannamead Road and Mutley to city. For eg where I live to city £2.20 return on Stagecoach over £4 on citybus. I for one am quite happy with my £2.20 fare on 15 min frequency service and don't want to end up paying more so I can have chance to use Citybus service that to be honest I won't Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-37619796185111022822022-01-02T12:02:57.742+00:002022-01-02T12:02:57.742+00:00Indeed, Oxford has been a shining example for a lo...Indeed, Oxford has been a shining example for a long time. However, Cornwall has gone one stage further in that while Oxford still has a choice of operator-specific tickets or multi-operator tickets the former doesn't apply in Cornwall. All tickets are now equally valid on all services irrespective of operator.Stevenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-32318042549640230662022-01-02T10:05:20.627+00:002022-01-02T10:05:20.627+00:00I am sure it will happen in Plymouth eventually as...I am sure it will happen in Plymouth eventually as this is something thats being encouraged everywhere. It was very much part of the plans that the City Council have put forward for government money - I strongly suspect that much of the money wont appear but joint ticketing will happen at least in local areas. didbygrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01858408719372985035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-15525879979309536072022-01-02T09:48:41.108+00:002022-01-02T09:48:41.108+00:00It is brilliant. They are now going a stage further, and core routes will no longer be operated by both companies running alternately. It's all to make the service more user-friendly.Vhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10287477948823613390noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-2551799474476344782022-01-01T20:32:43.953+00:002022-01-01T20:32:43.953+00:00Thanks PH - it cant be any worse can it?Thanks PH - it cant be any worse can it?didbygrahamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01858408719372985035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-31748183212665389032021-12-31T17:03:45.358+00:002021-12-31T17:03:45.358+00:00The Cornwall fares integration from 2nd January ha...The Cornwall fares integration from 2nd January has to be the single most positive thing to have happened to Cornwall's bus services for I don't know how long. It's all credit to First South West, Go South West and Cornwall Council for agreeing and implementing this most radical change in how bus services are organised since deregulation.Stevenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-1424517560448334792021-12-31T10:28:48.097+00:002021-12-31T10:28:48.097+00:00Thank you once again Graham for keeping us updated...Thank you once again Graham for keeping us updated throughout 2021, despite your difficult year.

I hope 2022 is a much better year for you and indeed everyone.PHnoreply@blogger.com
