Choice of a bus to catch.
Only the difference now is that you have a Stagecoach bus or a Go Ahead bus.
Each will have their supporters and people that wish to use the product. It will mean sensible fares on the competitive corridors, because PCB won't increase the fares above Stagecoach ones. Stagecoach tend to focus on weekly and monthly period tickets and discount those heavily to ensure loyal usage.
Stagecoach are well backed and going nowhere - so Go Ahead will have to remain innovative in the services it provides. Stagecoach will provide direction and certainty that First have not, Go Ahead knows what its dealing with, and this should be viewed as a positive. PCB claim to have features in their service offering that should encourage regular travellers. Time to push those features.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-74138305934981770492015-07-30T13:11:05.987+01:002015-07-30T13:11:05.987+01:00Good news that Stagecoach have decided to extend t...Good news that Stagecoach have decided to extend the 2 to Saltash. Competition law, of course, prevents any 'understanding' between Citybus and Stagecoach, but it is interesting how the respective spheres of operation have become established. City Centre - Derriford is now the only competitive route between the two companies..
