Perhaps the Stagecoach Paignton to Plymouth service in the early 2000's was inspired by the DG 45. Prior to 1930, DG used number 40 for Torquay to Plymouth (40 latterly used for Exmouth to Sidmouth until the WN renumbering in 1975). 45 or 128 seems a good replacement for 'GOLD'.Nigel Tabbnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-16769886344565207252020-03-17T16:13:24.867+00:002020-03-17T16:13:24.867+00:00They should go back to the x45 on the Gold. However with Gold becoming the norm for several years they have a clean slate in my opinion. Using a number like 4 could make sense as it would be the 4th major route out of Plymouth? In line with the 1, 2 and 3. It's a case of wait and find out though. It was split in the mid 80s with WN keeping the number for Plymouth to Torquay and DG running Paignton to Exeter as X46 (reinstating an old number with an X prefix.) Stagecoach used to use X45 a few years back when they competed the first time.Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14886052305644290736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-76433285158601016652020-03-14T16:56:48.292+00:002020-03-14T16:56:48.292+00:00Why would the X80 make a comeback? Personally I don't get why Cornwall has followed Wales with it's own transport brand, the next thing they'll want is to split GWR so all Cornwall services are merged into it, a massive waste of money!Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05151676999719375141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-11882714899239201452020-03-13T19:20:43.326+00:002020-03-13T19:20:43.326+00:00I dont think stagecoach sw due any new buses in th...I dont think stagecoach sw due any new buses in this years order Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11828686.post-3691234973728912872020-03-13T17:04:12.177+00:002020-03-13T17:04:12.177+00:00It might be "relaunched" at either the 5...It might be "relaunched" at either the 5th April or 24th May timetable changes.
